After medical school training in Cambridge and Oxford, Ashley moved to Yorkshire for training in general medicine before entering Radiology training in Leeds, becoming a consultant at St James’s University Hospital in 1995. He is the current Lead for Gastrointestinal Imaging at the Trust.
Ashley is a respected speaker at international specialist conferences, and has over 50 peer reviewed journal publications. He has also organised several conferences including the Leeds GI Radiology course.
He is the current president of the British Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiologists and will host the 2014 annual conference in Leeds. Additional responsibilities include being a member of the Editorial Board of Insights into Imaging Journal and he is a representative for the Royal College of Radiologists on the Department of Health Diagnostic Imaging board from 2009-2011.
Ashley’s interests involve cycling and skiing.
